Youth Employment Support Program to Be Implemented
At its first meeting of the year, the National
Council for Employment Promotion discussed six key agenda items related to
employment promotion and approved five draft resolutions. These included the
action program to be implemented in 2026–2027, the draft budget allocation of
the Employment Promotion Fund, amendments to pilot employment promotion
projects and programs, and the approval of new employment promotion programs.
The approved resolutions cover the following:
·
Renewed approval of the Action Program for
Employment Promotion to be implemented in 2026–2027;
·
Issuance of recommendations on approving the
2026 budget allocation of the Employment Promotion Fund;
·
Amendments to pilot employment promotion
projects and programs;
·
Approval of the Program to Support Employment
and Improve Livelihoods of Target Households;
·
Approval of the Youth Employment Support
Program.
One of the newly approved initiatives is the Program to Support Employment and Improve Livelihoods
of Target Households. This program aims to continuously
strengthen the self-reliance of target households by improving livelihoods and
income generation based on household needs, initiatives, and opportunities. It
will provide integrated services, including financial, health, education, and
social protection support, while promoting employment for able-bodied household
members who face difficulties in finding jobs.
The second newly approved initiative is the Youth Employment Support Program, which
aims to foster positive attitudes toward work, creativity, and labour market
participation among young people, thereby contributing to their engagement in
productive and sustainable employment within the country.
