Intersectoral Conference on Strengthening Child Protection System Held in Mongolia
An intersectoral conference aimed at
strengthening Mongolia’s child protection system was held to enhance
coordination and collaboration across sectors, discuss policies, current
practices, experiences, and challenges in child protection, and improve
intersectoral alignment. The event was organized for the third consecutive year
by Good Neighbours International,
the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Protection, and the Ministry of
Education.
This year’s conference focused on:
· Providing sector specialists with consolidated
information on policies, current practices, and challenges in the child
protection system to promote collaboration;
· Identifying key issues affecting children’s
rights and protection, and exploring ways to improve the quality and impact of
child protection services;
· Reviewing research findings on the current
conditions and capacity-building needs of child protection professionals and
national child rights inspectors;
· Enhancing training content and methodology in
the education sector to strengthen the child protection system, including
integrating interactive content to improve training quality and effectiveness.
The conference aimed to create practical
solutions to ensure that child protection policies are implemented effectively
and that professionals are equipped to safeguard the rights and well-being of
children across Mongolia.
