Regulation Approved to Project Children from Harmful and Prohibited content in the Digital environment
In line with Article 25 of
the revised Law on Child Protection, which expands safeguards for children in
media, broadcasting, and the digital space, and enforces related penalties
under the Law on Infringements, a new regulation has been approved to prevent
and protect children from exposure to harmful and prohibited content online.
The regulations outline
specific measures for content sharing in the digital environment and defines
responsibilities for parents, educational institutions, internet service
providers, and government agencies in ensuring child safety online. It also
sets requirements for platforms used in communication and educational involving
children.
The
Ministry advises educational institutions and teachers to use secure platforms
when interacting with children and parents and recommends avoiding the use of
social media platforms such as Facebook for homework assignments or educational
communication.
