A total of 99 million MNT was awarded to the best startup youth team
The winner of the last stage of the STARTUP-2022 National Championship, which provides funding to young people running startups incorporating new technologies and innovations, was announced today as part of the Youth Employment Support Program.
First place:
Funding of 20 million MNT for the Medtech partner team project "Electronic technology for drug sales".
Second place:
Funding of 17 million MNT for Airy Felt team project "Air Purification Technology with Wool".
Funding of 17 million MNT for the "Educational Information Application" project of the Education Zone Team
Third place:
Funding of 15 million MNT for the Update Team "Application for EBS students" project
Funding of 15 million MNT for the "Interactive Interior" project by Creed Studio Team
The Mufin app team received 15 million MNT funding for the "Financial Income and Expenditure Application" project.
This year, 290 startup teams of more than 460 young people from all over Mongolia registered for the STARTUP-2022 National Championship. This was five times more participation than last year.
Out of all registered teams, 41 teams qualified for the first round. According to international standards, they were included in a training program, provided mentoring services, presented their business pitch to the judges, received advice from professional mentors in each field, and created opportunities and conditions to take their business to the next level. Out of these 41 teams, 13 teams made it to the final round and the winners were announced today.
Of these, 3 teams in 3rd place, 2 teams in 2nd place, and 1 team in 1st place were given non-repayable funds of 99 million MNT to the six best teams.
The judges were members of Parliament Ch.Undram, 2022 National President of JCI Mongolia J. Damdintseren, A. Ganhuyag, founder of PREMIUN GROUP, Chairman of the Board of STARTUP Marketing Space LLC J. Zolzaya, Board of Startup Mongolia NGO. member P. Purevbazar worked and announced the National winner.
This year's national competition was jointly organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the General Department of Labor and Welfare Services, Startup Marketing Space LLC, Startup Mongolia NGO, and JCI Mongolia.
Also, on this occasion, the 2021 winner shared his thoughts with the youth about how he spent his funding, how he developed and expanded his start-up business, and how effective the funding was.
