The Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Mongolia H.E. Mr Zoan Han Dam and the Ambassador of Mongolia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam H.E.Mr.Sereejav pay a visit to MLSP

H.E. A.Ariunzaya, Minister for Labour and Social Protection, has been recently appointed as the Chair of the Mongolian section of the Mongolian-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in accordance with the Government Resolution No.163, 2021.

In this context, today on October 11^th, 2021, Her Excellency A.Ariunzaya has met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Mongolia H.E. Mr Zoan Han Dam and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam H.E. Mr Sereejav.

The meeting was attended by Ch.Ulaan, Advisor to the Minister, A.Anand, Deputy Director, and G.Davkharbayar, Attaché of the Department of  Asia and Pacific Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Z.Khuslen, Head of the Foreign Cooperation and Public Relations Division of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.

During the meeting, Minister of Labour and Social Protection H.E. A.Ariunzaya requested the Ambassadors to pay attention to the implementation of the measures agreed to expand and develop cooperation between the two countries in the relevant fields at the 17th regular Intergovernmental Commission meeting, held in December 2019 in Hanoi.

In particular, the parties have highlighted the need to continue the dialogue and intensify the work progress to increase the level of cooperation in various fields, such as increasing trade turnover, mutual supply of agricultural products, development of cooperation in the aviation sector by launching direct passenger routes between the countries, while taking into account mutual interests.

In the field of social protection, efforts will be made to intensify the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam.

In addition, due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the next Intergovernmental Commission meeting which was supposed to be organized in 2021 in Mongolia, was postponed and the parties agreed to determine the date through diplomatic channels.
