Enhance support for the employment of elderly
A meeting was held with
members of the National Employment Council to gather input on employment
support programs and initiatives to be implemented in 2025.
Employment support programs
and initiatives are annually reviewed and approved during the meetings of the
National Employment Council, following which they are implemented.
Under the National Employment
Council’s Resolution No.1 of 2024, a total of five programs have been approved.
In line with the Action Plan of the Government of Mongolia for 2024-2028 efforts
will be made to expand support for the employment of elderly, pilot new
projects and programs, and ensure the delivery of employment services to target
groups through coordinated leadership, methodology, and organization by
government agencies. The plan also prioritizes enhancing the quality of
projects and programs, as well as improving the effectiveness and impact of
their implementation.
The proposed program plan
for 2025 was presented to the members, and their feedback was subsequently
collected. Additionally, an online meeting was held with relevant specialists
from the Employment and Social Welfare Services of the provinces and districts
to collect further suggestions. The National Employment Council is scheduled to convene shortly.
