The Projects with Low Significance Will No Longer Be Implemented
The inaugural conference
on collaboration among partner organizations in the family, labour, and social
protection sector was held, bringing together representatives from Mongolian
government ministries, embassies of 15 countries-including
the United States, South Korea, China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan,
Hungary,
Turkey, France, and Canada-as well as the European
Union, the United Nations and its specialized agencies, international
organizations, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank.
During the meeting,
Minister L. Enkh-Amgalan outlined the projects planned under the Mongolian
Government’s 2024–2028 Action Program for the family, labour,
and social protection sector. He emphasized the importance of reviewing past
project implementations and results, stating, “Low-priority projects will no
longer be implemented.
It is crucial that we move away from depending solely on donations and grants
from international organizations and instead utilize productive loans to
implement our policies effectively.”
Additionally, the Minister
presented proposals to enhance access to mortgage loans through the Central
Provident Fund, focusing on target groups such as public servants in rural
areas, large families, and young families. The aim is to implement
income-compatible housing programs that promote sustainable housing solutions.
The meeting also included
discussions on pension reforms, restructuring social welfare policies,
balancing labour market supply and demand, supporting vocational education,
creating a unified database utilizing big data, and leveraging artificial
intelligence for improved planning and decision-making processes.
