Social Protection Is a Universal Right for Children: Ensuring No Child Is Left Behind
At
an international conference in Nepal titled “Investing in Human Capital
Development,” Mongolia’s Child Money Program was recognized as a model for
reducing child poverty. Co-organized by UNICEF, the World Bank, and the
Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, the conference highlighted
Mongolia's child allowance program as a model of good practice.
Ms.
A. Khishigbayar, Director of the Social Protection Policy Department of the
Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia, presented the
program's policies and outcomes virtually.

programs in Mongolia, providing monthly allowances of 100,000 MNT to 1.3
million children across the country.
