Pilot Project to Support Employers Activated
Minister for Family, Labour, and Social Protection, L. Enkh-Amgalan, met with Matilda Dimovska, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Mongolia. At the start of the meeting, both parties expressed their gratitude for UNDP's active role in organizing the World Women’s Forum.
The meeting focused on reviewing the outcomes of initiatives supported by UNDP aimed at improving employment services and strengthening the budgetary and financial management of the sector.
One key topic discussed was the sustainability of the results achieved through the "Supporting Employment Reform through Budget Planning Aligned with the Goals of Sustainable Development in Mongolia" project, which is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP. To ensure continued progress, the activation of the "Employer Support Pilot Project" was proposed. This pilot initiative aims to assist employers in creating sustainable jobs and fostering workforce development.
Other issues on the agenda included reforms to the Law on Employment Promotion and ensuring the sustainable operation of the employment research system. Both sides agreed on the importance of aligning these reforms with the broader goals of sustainable development.
