"Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia Partners with Lorinet Foundation to Enhance Child Care Services"

Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia with Lorinet Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding for 2024-2025.

Under this memorandum, the parties agreed to collaborate on implementing a comprehensive policy to support the development of young children. This policy aims to align with efforts to support young families and increase the employment of women. Additionally, it seeks to enhance the draft revision of the Law on Child Care Services.

As part of this initiative, legal reforms will be introduced to revise the Child Care Act and establish alternative child care services. These services include:

  1. Nursery care services for children aged 1-3 years.
  2. Child care services.
  3. Community-Based Childcare Services/Parental Involved Group Childcare Services.
  4. Transportation services.
  5. Hourly service centers.
  6. Home babysitting services.
  7. Care services for children with disabilities.
  8. Babysitting services at business establishments (e.g., shopping and service centers).

These reforms aim to provide diverse and accessible child care options to meet the needs of families and support the well-being and development of young children.
