The ADB has been a steadfast partner in Mongolia's humanitarian efforts for over three decades, actively engaged in initiatives such as the " Project to Ensuring Inclusiveness and Service Delivery for Persons with Disabilities " targeting individuals with disabilities and the elderly. This project aims to enhance the self-reliance of people with disabilities, increase their societal and economic contributions, and support their employment endeavors.

Furthermore, efforts are underway to improve the quality and accessibility of long-term care services for the elderly. This includes bolstering the capacity of organizations and human resources involved in delivering health and social security services, enhancing the legal framework for elderly care, and introducing international best practices. The "Development of Long-Term Care Services for the Elderly" project seeks to establish a comprehensive system and ensure inter-sectoral coordination.

Moreover, plans are in place to establish active aging support centers across 21 provinces, 330 districts, and the capital city of Mongolia. These centers will cater to the holistic needs of the elderly population, offering rehabilitation, home care services, day services, social and educational programs, and sanatorium support. The overarching goal is to promote healthy and active aging, thereby enriching the lives of senior citizens and fostering a supportive community environment.
