The Center for the Development of People with Disabilities has
been inaugurated in Khovd province, marking the first establishment of such a
center in the local area of Mongolia. This facility offers a comprehensive
range of essential services, including rehabilitation for disabled children and
adults, counseling, and training for their family members and guardians, as
well as providing psychological and psychotherapeutic support. Furthermore, the
center plays a crucial role in assisting individuals in acquiring and using
prosthetics, orthopedic devices, and assistive aids.
Similar centers are currently under construction in Khuvsgul,
Khovd, Dundgovi, Darkhan-Uul, Umnugovi, and Arkhangai provinces. The government
also has plans to establish such centers in all provinces in the future.
