The training was organized on the topic " Role of HCCH Conventions in Cross-Border Child Protection"
UNICEF Mongolia together with the Permanent Bureau, HCCH (Hague
Conference), the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the Ministry of
Justice and Home Affairs is organizing a training on “The Role of HCCH
Conventions in Cross-Border Child Protection in Mongolia”, on 9-11 May 2023 in
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The participants of this training are examining the role of the
Hague Children’s Conventions in addressing cross-border child protection cases
and discussing some of the practicalities surrounding the implementation of the
Conventions including the Convention on Protection of Children and Co-operation
in Respect of Intercountry Adoption, Child Abduction Convention, and Child
Support Convention. Each of the Hague Conventions, whether it deals with
abduction, parental custody, visitation rights or child maintenance, supports,
develops, and gives practical effect to the relevant provisions of the CRC.
