Social work methodology training for child victims of sexual violence and their families was organized

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection developed a 16-hour module for "Social and psychological counseling for victims of sexual assault and their family members" and organized methodological training. The training was attended by experts and temporary staff from the Family, Child, and Youth Development Departments of 21 provinces and 9 districts. More than 80 social workers and psychologists of the shelter were included.

The training covers policy reforms in providing services to child victims of violence, protection service standards, service funding, a victim-centered approach based on human rights, victim mental health, and support services, counseling for children who have suffered kinship violence and sexual violence, and family support. methodology for working with members, ensuring children's safety, mental trauma treatment, and mediation social work services at a professional level have been provided.

This training was conducted with the technical support of the Swiss Development Agency, the United Nations Population Fund, the United Nations Children's Fund, the National Commission for Human Rights, the General Police Department, the Department of Family, Child and Youth Development, the National Center for Mental Health, the Campaign for Beautiful Hearts NGO, Gender Organized in cooperation with the Equality Center NGO.
