National forum on increasing women’s participation taking place
Under the auspices of the President of Mongolia, the
national forum, ‘Increasing the participation of women in economic development’
is being organized at State House, involving over 800 representatives from the
capital, 21 aimags, civil society, the private sector, and international
organizations.
Minister
of Labor and Social Security H.E. Mrs. A. Ariunzaya "Participation,
Challenges and Opportunities of Women in Economic Development", B. Monkhzul,
Member of the Board of Directors of the National Chamber of Commerce and
Industry of Mongolia, "Results of Business and Women Consultation",
International Women's Trade and Industry the chairman of the board of the
association O. Baigal will present the keynote speech on the topic
"International trends and good practices" and the resident
representative of the Asian Foundation, Mark Koening, on the topic
"Strengthening the economic potential of women in Mongolia". H.E. Mrs. A. Ariunzaya, Minister of Labour and
Social Protection, gave a speech on "Women's participation in economic
development, challenges and opportunities" and presented information.
The forum touches on women's participation in economic
development, international experience, gender-sensitive financial sector,
development of responsible business organizations, employment, and human
resources. As a result, recommendations on measures to be taken in the near
term to increase women's employment and economic participation will be
delivered to the relevant organizations.
