International youth day launched youth development month campaign
International Youth Day is celebrated annually on August 12. In 1995, the United Nations General Assembly approved the “Global Program of Action for Youth” with 15 sets of measures to draw the attention of the world, country leaders, and the public to it.
In 2022, the theme of International Youth Day is Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World Friendly to all ages, emphasizing the need for generations to work together in unity and cooperation in order to achieve the SDGs and leave no one behind in development.
Our country has been legally celebrating Youth Day since 2003, and every year from 12th August to 25th September, the Youth Development Campaign is organized throughout the country.
The launch of this year’s monthly campaign was held online at the building of the United National Organization in Mongolia.
H.E. Mr. Zulphar.S /Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection/ introduced the measures and services to support youth employment within the campaign, taking into account the differences in demand and needs of employment services and urged the youth to actively participate in the discussion.
