Advocacy seminars were organized on the benefits of employing PWDs, measures to be taken to provide employment opportunities, and the use of appropriate tools in enterprises.

An advocacy seminar for enterprises was held on the 18th and 19th of this month as part of the project to support the employment of PWDs in Mongolia and strengthen the system.

The main goal of the seminar was to raise awareness among PWDs and employers about the employment of PWDs and how to support the employment of PWDs through the use of on-the-job internship support services.

During the seminar, information was provided on the new provisions of the revised Labour Law related to the employment of PWDs and the monitoring system, as well as examples of the employment of PWDs in Japan.

Also, the Senior Project Advisor introduced the Chiba project activities, and experts from Mirairo JSC, Japan, made a presentation on “The Value of PWDs for Entrepreneurs” and answered questions from the seminar participants.

The seminar was attended by human resources officers of enterprises and representatives of PWDs' NGOs. In practical training to improve the understanding of disability, a team of professional instructors used wheelchairs and white crutches as examples of appropriate tools in Japanese enterprises. In addition, interesting presentations were made on what is Disability, the benefits of employing PWDs, measures to be taken to provide employment opportunities for PWDs, and the global trend toward equal inclusion of PWDs in the business environment.
