The 21st Century Partnership for
Statistical Development (PARIS 21) Board Meeting was held online. The meeting
discussed a wide range of climate change issues. The meeting was chaired by
A.Ariunzaya, Chairman of the Board of PARIS21 and Minister for Labour and
Social Protection of Mongolia. Representatives of international organizations
such as the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the World Bank and
the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) participated.
The Partnership for Statistical
Development (PARIS21) was first established in November 1999 in accordance with
a resolution of the United Nations Economic and Social Council to implement the
objectives of the United Nations Development Conference, the United Nations,
the European Commission, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and
Development and the International Monetary Fund, co-founded by the World Bank.
Aimed
at achieving national and international development goals and reducing poverty
in low- and middle-income countries, PARIS21 focuses on developing statistical
capacity and providing reliable information for decision-making.
