Discussion on “Ensuring cross-sectoral coordination in employment promotion”

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) are jointly implementing a technical assistance project entitled “Supporting Employment Reform in Mongolia through SDG-Related Budget Planning” as part of the European Union's budget support to Mongolia.  The purpose of the project is to provide public services in the field of labour relations and employment in an efficient, responsive and responsible manner. It will also support the reform of budget and financial management system and strengthen the institutional capacity of the State Great Khural, National Auditing Office, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry. One of the project objectives is to create a customer-oriented employment service, and to create an effective and accessible employment service and action system that provides support and assistance that meets the needs and requirements of the individual. Regarding the matter, the Discussion on “Ensuring cross-sectoral coordination in employment promotion” was organized by the project unit of the “Supporting Employment Reform in Mongolia through SDG-Related Budget Planning”. Representatives from the European Union, MLSP, and Governor’s office, Social policy division, Labour and Welfare Service Division, Food and Agriculture Division, Education division, Health Union and Employers’ Association, Trade Union of Songinokhairkhan district and the Training Institutions participated in the discussion.
