Ministry Officials Meet with UNFPA Program Evaluation Experts
A. Davaajargal, State Secretary of the Ministry of Family, Labour, and Social Protection, met representatives from an independent expert team tasked with evaluating the ongoing "7th Country Programme (2023–2027)." The program is currently being implemented by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Mongolia.
During the meeting, the evaluation team stated that in addition to conducting an independent assessment of the progress and outcomes of joint projects and initiatives, they are actively gathering feedback and recommendations to shape future strategic cooperation.
The Ministry of Family, Labour, and Social Protection works closely with the UNFPA, focusing heavily on promoting gender equality and reducing gender-based violence.
State Secretary A. Davaajargal noted that the country faces various demographic challenges. He suggested that future cooperation should focus on conducting detailed research and formulating policies aimed at supporting birth and marriage rates, maintaining the gender balance between urban and rural youth, and narrowing the life expectancy gap between men and women.
