Evaluation Report on Ageing Policy Under Development

The inter-sectoral working group tasked with drafting Mongolia's national evaluation report held its third meeting. The report is being developed in accordance with the "Methodology for the 5th Review and Appraisal of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing (Madrid 2002)," adopted under Resolution 8 (2026) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).

During the meeting, institutional representatives exchanged views on key areas of focus for the report's formulation, as well as the preparation and verification of necessary supplementary data.

Furthermore, Mongolia is scheduled to participate in a virtual progress-update meeting organized by UNESCAP on June 15, 2026, where member states will share updates on the development of their respective national reports.

To ensure the active participation of older persons, the working group plans to present the draft report to senior citizens and NGOs dedicated to elderly affairs, alongside organizing a series of meetings and interviews with relevant stakeholders.
