Expanded Meeting of the Working Group on Developing and Approving Child Protection Procedures in Judicial Proceedings Held
The
Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs organized an expanded meeting of the
Working Group established by the order of the State Secretary of the Ministry
of Family, Labour and Social Protection to develop and approve the “Child
Protection Procedures in Judicial Proceedings” on May 20 2026.
The
meeting brought together representatives from the National Human Rights
Commission, the Judicial General Council, the Office of the Prosecutor General,
district prosecutors’ offices, the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Protection
and its affiliated agencies, the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs, the
General Police Department, the Mongolian Bar Association, the Mongolian
Advocates Association, as well as representatives from various committees,
school social workers, and student researchers.
In
accordance with the Law on General Administrative Procedures, the working group
organized a comprehensive consultation and hearing process involving working
group members, participating institutions, and other stakeholders. The discussions
were aimed at gathering feedback and ensuring broad participation in the
development of the draft procedures.
The
Working Group will consolidate and review the recommendations and comments
received during the consultations and continue its efforts to finalize and
secure approval of the “Child Protection Procedures in Judicial Proceedings” in
accordance with Article 29.6 of the Law on Child Protection.
