Memorandum of Understanding Signed to Implement the National Productivity Master Plan
The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social
Protection of Mongolia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the
Development Research Centre Berhad of Malaysia and the Mongolia Productivity
Centre to cooperate on the implementation of the National Productivity Master
Plan.
Under the MoU, the parties will work together to
conduct research, strengthen capacity, develop policies, and share knowledge in
alignment with the National Productivity Master Plan, in support of policy
objectives aimed at enhancing Mongolia’s national productivity and
competitiveness.
Cooperation will focus on the following four key areas:
1. Conducting
research in strategically important sectors and areas that contribute to the
implementation of Mongolia’s National Productivity Master Plan and support
productivity growth;
2. Developing
policy recommendations, based on research findings, to address economic
challenges and enhance Mongolia’s competitiveness;
3. Organizing
capacity-building and skills development training for staff of the Ministry of
Family, Labour and Social Protection and the Mongolia Productivity Centre
within the framework of monitoring and evaluation models, including data
processing, analysis, and economic modelling;
4. Producing
joint publications and materials on trends and reforms in the economy,
productivity, and the labour market.
The MoU was signed by B. Alimaa, Director of the Labour Relations and Employment Policy Department, on behalf of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Protection; Dr. Mohd Yusof Saari, Senior Economist, on behalf of the Development Research Centre Berhad of Malaysia; and Ya. Erkhembayar, Executive Director, on behalf of the Mongolia Productivity Centre.
