Minister T. Aubakir meets with Representatives of Persons with disabilities

On June 24, 2025, Minister of Family, Labour and Social Protection T. Aubakir and State Secretary L. Munkhzul met with members of the NGO “Holch Kharaa Urnuun Delgerekh” and representatives of persons with disabilities.

During the meeting, participants expressed concerns about the slow implementation of employment support programs for persons with disabilities. They emphasized the need to strengthen oversight of the employment support fund for persons with disabilities, ensuing that funds are used transparently and effectively.

Although the Disability Employment Support Center, established under the General Authority for the Development of Persons with Disabilities, officially opened in March 2025, stakeholders noted that its operations remain delayed. Representatives called for accountability among certain officials for the lack of progress.

In response, Minister T. Aubakir acknowledged their concerns and committed to visiting the General Authority for the Development of Persons with Disabilities in person. Minister also stated that he would issue an official directive to improve performance and service delivery. The Minister further announced his intention to visit other agencies and affiliated institutions to review their operations and ensure more efficient and inclusive service for all.
