Government to Implement Six Key Initiatives to Support People with disabilities
A national forum titled
“The Role of Local Administrative Organization in Ensuring the Rights of Persons
with Disabilities” was held at the initiative of Member of Parliament O. Saranchuluun.
The event brought together stakeholders from across sectors to discuss
inclusive governance and collaborative approaches to disability rights. The
Ministry of Family and Labour Social Protection reiterated its 2025 goal under
the slogan “Promoting Employments as the best Welfare”, with a key focus on
promoting employment for persons with disabilities.
As of today, Mongolia has
111200 persons with disabilities, of whom only 15300 are employed. In response,
the Ministry has developed and begun implementing six comprehensive measures
aimed at supporting persons with disabilities. These include:
1. -Support
for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises
2. -The
“Your registration – Integrated information” project
3. -Employment
Opportunities for All
4. -People-Friendly
Business - Business-Friendly Government campaign
5. -The
“Everybody is unique” project
6. -Policy
improvements to ensure sustainable and inclusive support systems
Through these
initiatives, the government reaffirms its commitment to protecting the rights
of persons with disabilities and ensuring their full participation in social
and economic life.
