The first meeting of the Northern Regional Council held in Bulgan province
At the first meeting of the
Northern Regional Council held in Bulgan province, regional development plans
were discussed.
The Northern Region
includes Orkhon, Bulgan, and Khuvsgul provinces. As part of the Government’s
regional development program, this area has been designated for development as
a specialized sub-region for nature-based tourism and industrial enterprises.
During the first meeting,
five thematic discussions were held on the following topics
Northern Development 2040,
Regional investment and development projects and programs, Legal environment
for regional development, and Regional Characteristics and Comparative
Analysis.
Minister for Family and
Labour and Social Protection, Mr. Enkh-Amgalan Luvsantseren, participated as a
panelist in the “Northern Region Development 2040” session. He introduced the
Ministry’s current policies, unique advantages and resource potential of the
region, and priority areas for economic development. The Minister also listened
to citizens’ view and feedback on the draft of the medium-term policy document
and targeted programs and shared his insights during the panel discussion.
