Consultation on establishing support centers for children with disabilities in Darkhan- Uul Province
The Government is
actively supporting the establishment of centers for children with disabilities
in local areas.
On February
10, 2025,
representatives from the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Protection held a
consultation with the local leadership of Darkhan-Uul Province
regarding the establishment of a Support Center for Children with Disabilities in the region. The local authorities
expressed their full support and commitment to collaborate on the initiative.
As of 2023, Darkhan-Uul Province
has a total of 526 children with special needs in the Early and Secondary Education and Special Education categories. Of
these, 317
children are enrolled in schools and kindergartens, while 209 children
are receiving care at home.
The establishment of the
center will provide these children with access to educational services, helping them receive the support they
need through the center.
