Training on the Implementation of the Law on Senior Citizens
The amended Senior Citizens Law, along with related legal changes, came into effect in 2025. To ensure effective implementation of the law, the following regulations have been approved:
- Regulation on Providing
Support and Exemption for Senior Citizens
- Regulation on Comprehensive
Assessment and Provision of Assistance and Services to Senior Citizens
- Regulation on the Selection
of Individuals, Organizations, and NGOs for Providing Services to Senior
Citizens
According
to these regulations, agencies offering services such as rest and rehabilitation for seniors, services supporting active aging, care services, and community-based welfare will be
selected at the local and regional levels by the welfare service departments
of the respective districts and provinces.
In
line with these changes, Ms. D. Nomingerel, Internal Consultant
at the Ministry of Finance’s Legal and Procurement Division, conducted a training session for
ministry employees and officials on the Law on Procurement of
Goods, Works, and Services using State and Local Government Funds and how to organize the selection
process for service providers. The training took place on February 7, 2025.
Approximately 90 employees
from the Ministry, the General Agency for Labour and Social Welfare, and the
welfare offices of various provinces and districts participated in the online
training, receiving valuable information and guidance.
