Discussion on the Results of the UN Children’s Fund Country Programme for 2024
A meeting was held today
to discuss the implementation and outcomes of the 2024-2025 Country Programme
of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Protection and the United Nations
Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The meeting also included discussions on the planned
activities for 2025.
During the meeting, key
activities and outcomes in the areas of child protection, adolescent
development and participation, and social policy goals were presented by
UNICEF, the Ministry of Family, Labour, and Social Protection, the Ministry of
Finance, and the General Department of Labor and Social Welfare. They also
discussed the issues to focus on and the future actions to be taken.
Key activities highlighted
include:
• Promoting the new version of the Child Protection Law to the public.
• Developing statistical methods, forms, and data collection
tools to analyze child protection data.
• Initiating the development of a unified child protection
database (Primero).
• Strengthening the capacity of the Child Rights Legal Committee and joint
task force members, as well as developing professional social work leadership.
• Implementing family support policies and activities.
• Implementing results-based budget planning and allocation, improving the relevant
legal framework, and ensuring performance monitoring.
• Continuing activities related to child protection in the
digital environment.
Furthermore, the
Government’s 2024-2028 Action Plan will align with the
Sustainable Development Goals, setting significant policy objectives for the upcoming
period.
