Presentation of Compliance Survey Results on ILO Convention No. 187
A two-day meeting and
discussion on occupational safety
and health is being held by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in collaboration with
the Ministry of Family, Labour,
and Social Protection. The event is taking place from December 4-5, 2024.
The meeting is attended by
officials from the relevant ministries, implementing agencies of the
government, members of the National
Committee on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), sectoral council
members, and ILO representatives.
On the first day of the
meeting, the results of a research study on the Occupational Safety and Health Law, the draft of its policy
framework, and the outcomes of a compliance
survey conducted on ILO
Convention No. 187 concerning the system supporting OSH were
presented.
Today, discussions are
focusing on how to improve the systems for reporting and recording workplace accidents, acute poisoning, and occupational diseases.
