Aiming to Build an Equal Society Where Everyone Works and Creates Wealth
The “ABILITY EXPO-2024” event, which
promotes sustainable development, inclusive participation, and diversity, is
currently taking place.
In Mongolia, there
are 111,200 people living with
disabilities, of which only 15,300 are
employed.
The Labour Law stipulates that
organizations with 25 or more employees must employ at least 4% of people with disabilities. If
every business adheres to this law, it would provide employment opportunities
for the 70,000 to 80,000 individuals
with disabilities who are currently unable to work, ensuring their economic and
social security.
The goal is to
develop comprehensive social
protection services for people with disabilities, addressing their
issues holistically, including prevention, rehabilitation, and services
tailored to their specific needs and disabilities.
Additionally, policies
will be put in place to support people with disabilities in becoming producers and contributors to society.
Together, the government and private sector must
work towards creating a society where every citizen has the right to live in a
healthy and safe environment, ensuring that no one is left behind in the development process.
