Mongolia and Uzbekistan Explore Cooperation on Labor Exchange and Family Development

Minister for Family, Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia, L. Enkh-Amgalan, held a meeting with Parpiboeva Ozoda Abduqodirovna, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Family and Women Affairs under the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged valuable information on employment support programs. Uzbekistan is currently implementing several successful initiatives aimed at the development and protection of families and women. Notably, one of these programs focuses on providing employment opportunities to women over 30 years old who are registered as job seekers. Additionally, Uzbekistan is in the process of digitizing its Family Book, transitioning it into an electronic database. Parpiboeva Ozoda Abduqodirovna also highlighted Uzbekistan’s extensive experience in deploying manpower.

Minister L. Enkh-Amgalan discussed Mongolia’s workforce needs, noting that the country will require an additional 478,100 workers by 2035 to meet the goals set out in the "Vision-2050" long-term policy document. In this context, he emphasized the importance of preparing a highly specialized workforce.

Both sides expressed their readiness to enhance cooperation by establishing a memorandum of understanding. This agreement will focus on the training of highly qualified personnel through labor exchange, increasing employment opportunities, and sharing expertise on family development.
