In accordance with the Government Resolution No.201/2019, the “Regulation of the protection of children’s right and providing assistance in case of emergency” has been approved. Under this regulation, the intersectoral working group was established by the Order No. A/257, 2019 of the Minister for Labour and Social Protection and measures and actions towards protecting children’s rights and preventing risks during COVID-19 are being taken. 

At the meeting of this working group, some issues were raised and introduced as below: 

- Implementation of the temporary guidelines on child protection services during COVID-19, approved by the Order No.A/57, 2021 of the Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia and the Head of the State Emergency Commission;

- Brief introduction about medical treatment services for children during COVID-19; 

- Education services during COVID-19

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has presented the proposing amendment on Child protection issues in case of emergencies to the new draft Law on Child Protection and gathered views and comments from the working group. 

Mr. Zulpkhar.S, Deputy Minister for Labour and Social Protection and Head of the intersectoral working group gave directions with 10 issues including implementation of the temporary guidelines on child protection services during COVID-19 and an Action plan on earthquake preparedness.
